Meet Nkazimulo Mcetywa, our first male changemaker. He is a young man from Orange Farm who firmly believes in the importance of men sharing their stories, just as women do. We can all agree that in today’s society, it can be challenging for men to express themselves emotionally due to prevalent stereotypes exposed to them – and as a result, these men tend to keep their feelings to themselves, or else they risk being perceived as weak. For Nkazimulo, this sad reality is what motivates him to advocate for men to share their stories without the fear of being judged.

Before moving to Johannesburg, Orange Farm, Nkazimulo grew up in Upper Cala, a village in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. He was raised by his grandmother from the age of five, as his mother had to move to the Western Cape to look for a job. From such a tender age, life was tough for him and his grandmother as they both relied solely on her old-age government social grant and had to plough the field for vegetables to ensure they had enough food on the table.

Despite the various challenges, including walking long distances for hours on hours to and from school, Nkazimulo managed to complete his high school education. Every day after school, he recalls working with his grandmother in the garden under the scorching heat, where he learned many valuable survival skills from her. These skills would later prove instrumental in shaping his promising future.

In 2021, Nkazimulo discovered network marketing, which he found to be similar to the farming he did with his grandmother. He joined Livegood, a company that builds a marketing network. This opportunity allowed him to receive immediate payment when someone partnered with him in the company. He helped people make income from the company by building their marketing network.

Thanks to Nkazimulo’s hard work and dedication, poverty levels have significantly declined, and unemployment is less of an issue in his community since his group receives weekly and monthly payments. Additionally, the company offers health products made from plant cells and herbal remedies that are laboratory-tested and approved in the USA. Nkazimulo’s story is a testament to the power of hard work and determination in overcoming life’s challenges.
